Ankle boots have been a staple item in my wardrobe for quite some time. Boots tend to be an investment piece for me that get worn over and over again. I realized that I have always shied away from wearing black in favor of cognac browns and charcoal leather. I also noticed that every pair is either almond and round toe. I wanted to try something bolder and new to my closet so I decided on a black, pointed toe pair of chelsea boots. My budget was set at $200 and my favorite high end pair was the Acne Studios Jensen (sadly, not in the budget).

After looking up multiple pairs and reading the reviews I settled on the Vince Yarrow boot. I was very, very lucky and caught them on sale for under $200 at Saks Fifth Avenue. When they came in the mail I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to get home to open the package. I ordered a half size up from my usual 6.5 and this was a good decision. They fit like a dream and are beautiful to boot!
So far I've paired them with black skinny pants and an oversized sweater for work and with jeans, a tee, and my coveted green leather jacket for the weekend. See the links below to get my work and weekend looks.
