That's Fresh: Spicy Taco Sauce

Image via The Kitchn

After our trip to Austin we've found ourselves craving more than store bought salsa as a taco topping. The favorite sauce that we had on our trip was Tacodeli's smooth, spicy, green, and super fresh Dona salsa. Here's the recipe that I tried to recreate it:

10 jalapenos
4 cloves of garlic
4 T of canola oil

1. Half the jalapenos and scoop out the seeds
2. Broil them for 15 minutes in the oven with the garlic cloves (unpeeled) in a single layer on a pan
3. Let the peppers and garlic cool, un-peel garlic
4. Add cooled peppers and garlic to the food processor
5. Process on chop for 15 seconds
6. Add oil in 1T at a time while the processor is on puree until completely smooth
7. Chill for an hour before serving and enjoy all the spicy goodness!
