I've always strongly identified with my blonde hair. Although, there was a weird phase when I started my professional career that I dyed my hair red to seem "more professional." The red just didn't feel like me so after a couple of years I went back to blonde.
There a few definite truths about blonde hair. Blonde hair is beautiful and a total pain to maintain. Blonde is a commitment to self-care for 2 hours every 4-6 weeks. Blonde means trying tons of different shampoos and moisturizing treatments until you find the right ones. These are my current favorite products for maintaining my blonde hair.
Platinum blonde hair can start to look dull really quickly. To stave off the effects of hard water and product build up I use a clarifying shampoo once a week.
Toning shampoos are a really important part of maintaining the icy white tones of blonde hair. I use this one twice a week and leave it in for a few minutes before rinsing. This one has a lot of color payoff and smells great.
I use this toning conditioner each time I wash my hair to keep my hair strong and moisturized.
