Travel Guide: Chicago, IL

Eat

Little Goat

The Little Goat has a bunch of great diner-like options to chose from. My absolute favorite menu item is the chili cheese fries (chickpeas on chili fries!!!!!). The patty melt is amazing too, and wash it all down with a Goat Smash cocktail.

Au Cheval

Au Cheval is my favorite restaurant in Chicago, a pretty bold statement from someone who likes to eat as much as I do. The wings, the breakfast muffin, and the crispy potatoes with gravy are all high on my list and don't forget to try the fries with an egg.

Drink

Revolution Brewing

This brewery is easy to get to, right off of the blue line, and has great beers. You can sample anything in a 5oz glass for $2. Perfect for building your own flights. The pretzel with cheese and mushroom fries are amazing as well!

Intellengtsia Coffee

Great lattes and a nice assortment of sweet and savory croissant. Cool latte art too!

Do

Art Institute

The art institute regularly makes the top museums in the world list. I couldn't agree more. Some of my favorite sections are photography and the miniatures.

Grant Park

There was a land battle over whether this park would be all museum campus or all green space for the city. I love where it landed halfway in between. Lots of really cool sculptures, gardens and Buckingham Fountain fill the park. Great way to kill an afternoon.
